Hey Girls,

I hope everyone is having a fun and exciting December! I am currently teaching kindergarten for SFUSD. Working with this age is definitely exciting, but I miss my 4th grade girls. This winter break I will be curling up with some delicious hot cocoa and cookies to watch some holiday movies. I am looking forward to visiting friends and family during break.  Happy Holidays to you!

Andrew, B3/4 Counselor Session 1 & B5/6 Counselor Session 2

Hey Campers,

Hope you all are enjoying the holidays! I have had a great time at Saint Mary’s this semester taking some very interesting classes and coaching middle sports has kept me busy.  I am looking forward to traveling home to L.A. for the holidays and some warmer weather. Even though it hasn’t snowed in the Bay Area it’s still pretty cold! Whenever I drive by the Reservoir I think about all the fun things we got to do during the summer, from exploring the res and hunting for flags together. We had some amazing times. I hope you guys have some fun plans for the holidays and remember all the great things you got to experience at Roughing It! Happy Holidays!

Grant, B3/4 Counselor Session 2 & B5/6 Counselor Session 1

Hey Guys!

I hope everyone is having a great school year. I’ve had a great semester at Boston College.  I’m excited to be on holiday break and come home to be with family and friends this December. I hope you emember all the fun times we had together at the Res and hope that you have kept in touch with all the camp friends. It was awesome spending time with you this summer and getting to hear your many stories and hilarious jokes. Stay warm this winter!

Hello G5/6 Ladies,

I hope you are having a fun year at school! I have been loving every minute of my senior year at Seattle Pacific University! My quarter has been full of fascinating classes, my internship at the In-Patient Psychiatric Unit of Seattle Children’s Hospital, wonderful friends and lots of adventures. It’s also been so much fun watching the whole city of Seattle get into the holiday spirit, with a huge parade and lights on every tree downtown!  I am finishing up my Bachelor of Science in Psychology next quarter and I will be spending Winter Break applying to graduate schools to pursue a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology. I cannot wait to be home for the holidays to see friends and family! Have a Safe and Fun Winter Break!

Jamie, JHG Counselor

Hey Girls,

Hope everything is going well for you this holiday season! I just finished my semester at University of San Francisco. I had a lot of fun classes, but I am glad to be finished and to have time to spend with family and friends. The chilly weather in San Francisco makes me miss my time at summer camp hanging out with you guys. I hope you still remember our awesome songs we came up with for the Overnight and Parents Closing Circle! I’m looking forward to the New Year and what adventures it will bring.

Zac, JHB Counselor

Hey Junior High Guys,

Hope you’re having a fantastic year! I just finished the first quarter of my Junior year at Northwestern. The snow came early this year and we’ve been living in the snow for the last month. I’m currently enjoying my classes and having a great time. Next quarter I will be working part time at an environmental start up company named The Yellow Tractor Project. I hope everyone is having a great year. Looking forward to seeing everyone this summer!

Hey CILTs!

Happy Holidays to you all this lovely December! I’ve been having an exciting school year in Boston continuing my studies in history. It’s been cold and snowy here at Boston College and it makes me wish for sunny days again. I love to reminisce back to the great times we had coming up with entertaining songs and skits for the whole camp to enjoy and the time spent working with the wonderful younger campers. I was so proud of how much you learned this summer and hope that you will pass on that knowledge next summer. Stay warm this holiday season I hope you enjoy your winter break!
