Favorite Camp Activities Families Can Do At Home

Being cooped up in the house all day can make anyone stir crazy, so it’s really great and beneficial to spend some quality time with your family! Here are lots of fun things for your kids and family to do together at home or outdoors that are perfect for spending these days out of school. We know this may be a challenging time for kids and families. We are here to help! So, take a break from school and work and check out these ideas for activities that get everyone unplugged, active, and outdoors!

 
Outdoor Fun:

Spending time outdoors can help relieve stress and restlessness from being inside too long. Going on a walk/hike with the family can help boost everyone’s mood with the fresh air, sunshine, and the chance to be active for a bit. Spend some time in your backyard away from screens and enjoy quality time with your family. Check out our blog on hiking with your family! Many trails and parks are still available for casual walks and hikes but check with your local parks and trails beforehand. Campers love the chance to be creative, stretch their imaginations, and make something entirely on their own outdoors!

  • Hunting for lizards or bugs (just to find them!)
  • Constructing lizard huts/gnome homes/fairy villages out of sticks and rocks

This gives campers some opportunities to stretch their imaginations and be creative while also spending some time outdoors!
