Roughing It goes International!

campers and staff dress up at lafayette reservoir, row in rowboat

This week at camp is world cultures and cultural awareness week at Roughing It. We practiced life skills around camp such as understanding differences and appreciating diversity. As part of this week, we celebrated International day on Wednesday! Campers had a great time dressing up for the different cultures represented here at camp. They also got to learn about different international activities such as dragon boat races down at Rowing.

On Thursday, we had a very special day as parents came to visit for Parents Closing Circle. Campers practiced all week long to share their songs and skits with their family members and loved ones. Thanks to everyone who came out to visit, it was a really special treat for all of our campers. If you’d like to catch up and watch videos of your campers performing, head over to camper caboodle to relive all the fun. Next week we have lots of fun planned for our last week, so make sure to check back in to get caught up on all the adventures!
