See Who Is Galloping In For Summer 2014!

Grass is springing up in the pastures from the rains, and the Roughing It horses sure are happy!  In their vacation home in the Central Valley, horses have been shedding their furry coats which kept them warm for the winter, and are starting to look sleek and shiny again. Our 32 horses are getting excited to return to Roughing It to see all our returning campers and to meet the new campers too!

Monday June 9th will be the first day that our wonderful 32 Roughing It horses start arriving at camp! Can you guess which horse will be the first out of the trailers?  Follow us on Facebook to see the photos of the horses arriving!

Each year a few horses retire and move out to pasture, and we welcome new horses to Roughing It. Our campers will be excited to meet the six new horses who will join the horse herd for Summer 2014. One of the new horses is a half-Clydesdale who will be perfect for vaulting and smooth rides at the trot! We also  look forward to seeing all our favorite Roughing It horses who come back to Camp summer after summer.
