  •  All you need is a roll of foil and a crafty imagination! Use foil to create a hat, armbands, and any other accessories that come to mind for anything from a Tin Man to a Space Alien.
  • For more sturdy accessories, cut out cardboard shapes and cover them in foil. Then tie them around your arms or legs as Fisherman Josh did!

Kids of all ages can get creative with this craft. Use your creative skills to make anything from a fierce lion mask to a completely made-up creature of your own!

You will need:

Paper plates
Yarn
Paint or markers
Felt paper
Sequins, feathers, pipe cleaners, or other decorative bits

Instructions:

  • Paint the outer side of your plate any color or pattern you want. You can also use markers if you prefer.
  • Cut out two circles on your plate to create eye holes.
  • Cut out triangles on the felt paper and glue them on to the top of your plate to create ears for your mask.
  • Kids can get as creative as they like here. They can use pipe cleaners to create whiskers, feathers to stick out around the mask and make a lion mane, or use sequins and pompoms to create completely unique monster masks of their own. They can even make one to match their monster feet!
  • When your mask creation is done, punch a hole on both sides of the plate and tie a piece of yarn on each side. Tie your mask around your face and have fun trick-or-treating!
