2-Week Day Camp
New 2-week sessions give campers the opportunity to experience Roughing It Day Camp in a shorter camp session.
The Roughing It Day Camp Experience
Campers enrolled in 2-Week Day Camp will enjoy much of what campers have loved about Roughing It Day Camp since 1972. Campers will be unplugged in the outdoors, make new friends, be part of an incredible camp community, and enjoy new adventures every day.
Variety of Outdoor Camp Activities
Campers participate in over 50 outdoor activities designed for all ages and abilities, with new challenges as campers grow.
Horseback riding is not included in 2-Week Day Camp, but campers can sign up for Horse Club, for an additional fee.
Camper Groups (1st - 4th Grades)
Campers 1st-4th grade can attend 2-Week Day Camp. We group campers based on age and grade with designated groups for boys and girls. An adult counselor leads each group, and campers build friendships and community during the entire session with the same campers and counselor. 2-Week Day Campers have their own groups, separate from 4 & 8-Week Day Campers. Campers attending with friends should sign up in the same program and session.
For campers entering pre-school and kindergarten in the fall, consider our younger camper programs. For campers going into 7th-10th grade: Teen Programs.
How are camp days spent?
The camp day is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with extended care options. Camper groups spend their day in scheduled activities and more relaxed group time. This ensures that each camper has the opportunity to experience every camp activity during each week of camp. These camp activities include formal instruction for all ability levels taught in a fun manner. Each day includes open time with fun activities designed for the camper group by their counselor. There are also times for snack / water breaks, bathroom breaks, sunscreen, and lunch in the shade. Each day builds upon the next as campers grow, learn and make new friends.
Bus Transportation
We provide free transportation to and from 33 neighborhood bus stops for 2-Week Day Camp. Home pick up and drop off is available for campers enrolled in 4 or 8-week Day Camp, in select areas.
Benefits of Longer Sessions
Our longer sessions provide the best camp experience. Campers have more opportunities to make lifelong friends, grow, and develop new skills.

That said, we understand families may not have the time to commit to longer sessions, and our shorter programs still offer a wonderful, outdoor experience for children.
