For most of my life I was raised in the Bay Area. I grew up with my mom and sister in Pleasant Hill who always empowered me that girls and women could achieve anything. Since I was about 5, I have always been involved with Diablo Day Camp (Girl Scout Camp in Lafayette Twin Canyons)! I was a camp counselor since I was in 7th grade all the way up until I graduated high school. I love working with children and assisting them with crafts, swimming, outdoor cooking, archery, nature/ hiking, games etc. I hope to create a safe and fun environment for kids to grow and expand their experience with awesome outdoor activities!

I’m a sophomore in college, and I don’t know what I’m going to major in but I know that my interests have usually involved the outdoors/environment and science, and also language. I was born in raised in San Francisco, where I grew up with two moms and a brother, and later on a stepmother and two step siblings. I went to a Cantonese immersion school for K-8, and I’ve had a passion for learning languages and traveling since then. Last year, I went on a three month trip to Bolivia and Peru with 11 other people my age, in which we had to plan and organize two weeks of it without help from our instructors. I also have a passion for education, and the power that schools and camps have for children who are looking up to the adults around them to set an example of what it means to contribute to society.
