2022 Reservoir Staff

Meet our Reservoir Staff

KJ Strong

Crafts Counselor, 1st Year Staff Member Saint Mary’s College — Graphic Design major I was born in Arizona and have spent most my life moving around. Due to my dad being in the military I’ve moved 11 times, including once overseas. I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and my faith plays a large role in the empathetic person I am today. I began playing volleyball early in high school and quickly took to it. I’ve been playing collegiate volleyball for the past two years at a junior college and am now transferring to play Varsity volleyball at Saint Mary’s! I’m a big family person and have loved being able to meet so many new people as I explore new places! I look forward to sharing my love of crafts with the campers at Roughing It.

Liam Clayton

Sports Counselor, 1st Year Staff Member Santa Clara University — Finance and Computer Science major I’m a Junior at Santa Clara University who loves the outdoors. In my free time I like to play guitar, sports, and exercise. I’ve worked at summer camps for a few years prior including Today’s Youth Matters based in the Bay Area. I am excited to join the Roughing It team as the sports counselor.

Davey Maguire

Environment Counselor, 1st Year Staff Member University of San Francisco — Political Science major As a kid I spent a lot of time at the Res as a camper, and every year I found myself coming back. Many of the skills that I have today I learned from camp, and my love for nature and hiking were also found at camp. After 12 years as a camper, I have had opportunities as a CILT and JC and have gotten a lot of experience as a leader. I think that the experiences that influenced my childhood have led me to my more balanced life that I have worked hard to keep in recent years. I’m excited to share my love of nature and camp with the campers this summer.

Fiona Clayton

Outdoors Counselor, 1st Year Staff Member University of Washington — Environmental Science and Terrestrial Resource Management major My parents immersed me in the outdoors from a young age and I have always been an active person. I have a lot of hobbies and would love to teach and guide others in doing the activities that I love. Having the opportunity to teach campers all about what the outdoors has to offer will be a wonderful experience.
