Fifth and Sixth Grade Campers Sample Schedule

8:50am

Buses Arrive at the Lafayette Reservoir. Walk with your bus group, bus counselor to Opening Circle.

9:00am

Opening Circle (announcements, songs/skits, etc.) All campers come together to start the camp day.

9:30am

Group Time: fun run, active games

9:40am

Snack, bathroom break, group announcements (go over daily schedule, code of living, get water, apply sunscreen)

10:00am

To the Swimming Pool with counselor and group on the Bus (songs, games, bus activities)

10:20am

Change into swimsuits, apply sunscreen, review pool rules.

10:40am

Swim Lessons by level (American Red Cross)

11:10am

Free Swim and Pool Games with Swim Staff and Counselors

11:20am

Change into camp clothes, reapply sunscreen. Bathroom break if needed.

11:40pm

Back to Lafayette Reservoir with counselor and group on the bus. (songs, games, bus activities)

12:00pm

Lunch with group and lunchtime games/activities. (water break and bathroom)

12:20pm

Activity Period @ Adventure: lead by specialty staff: sports, crafts, outdoors or nature/environment. (Activities vary by day)

1:00pm

Water break and bathroom, reapply sunscreen.

1:10pm

Group Activity (Lead by group counselor: games / sports, crafts, fort building, hiking, exploring nature)

1:30pm

Activity Period @ Waterfront lead by specialty waterfront staff: fishing, kayaking (Activity will vary by day)

2:15pm

Daily Wrap-Up (bathroom break before afternoon bus ride, recap the day, final story)

2:30pm

Closing Circle (announcements, songs, skits, contests, recognitions etc.) Entire camp comes together to end the day

3:00pm

Buses Depart the Reservoir for home drop off or central drop off locations. Some campers stay for optional CampPlus.

3:45pm

Thank your parents and tell them all about your great day at camp.

Note: Schedule varies from day to day and from group to group. All campers participate in each activity at least once each week. The schedule may also vary to accommodate special events at camp.
