Western Riding:
Trail Course & Western Equitation
Campers 5th grade and
older have the opportunity to choose a Western Riding lesson, at our Moraga
riding site, for their second riding period each week. Lessons will include
riding on our Trail Obstacle Course, pasture rides, and Western Equitation
lessons in our 4 arenas.
The Trail Obstacle Course features obstacles
that a rider may encounter on a trail ride such as: opening a closing a gate,
riding up and down hills, riding over and around logs and streams, opening and
closing a mailbox, and backing your horse down a path.
Western lessons in the arena include: the
fundamentals of Western Equitation, learning to maneuver around Trail Course
elements, barrel racing, pole bending, and other gymkhana and rodeo events.
Campers
