Our Commitment to Safety

Roughing It has been committed to the safety of children for over three decades. The health and safety of campers is the top priority for all of our staff. Our counselors are all adults, all CPR and 1st Aid Certified, and ensure that campers are always supervised with a ratio of 4 campers to 1 adult

We offer home and central bus service in 23 locations, serving San Francisco, the East Bay, Alameda, Lamorinda, and the 680 corridor from Pleasant Hill to San Ramon.  Transportation is safe and convenient, with buses driven by professional school drivers and an adult Roughing It counselor on each bus.
