Group Counselor Positions

Most group counselors are college aged and have completed at least their first year of college.

Day Camp Group Counselors

Group Counselors should have previous experience working with children, and must be effective leaders and role models. Group counselors spend the day with a group of 15 campers, and are responsible for planning activities as well as supervising campers. Group Counselors are also required to accompany and supervise campers on daily bus routes to and from camp and camp activity areas!

47 hrs/week
$780/week (Daily Bus Captain), $760 (Relief Bus Captain)

Prerequisites:

  • Completed first year of college (by start of camp)
  • Youth leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR Certifications
  • Ability to swim

Assistant Counselor

Assistant Counselors should have previous experience working with children and must be effective leaders and role models. Assistant Counselors spend the day with a group of 15 campers and are responsible for working with the Group Counselor in planning activities as well as supervising the campers. Assistant Counselors will supervise campers at activity areas, on daily bus routes, and/or assist with before/after camp care

Prerequisites:

  • Graduated from High School (by start of camp)
  • Youth leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR Certifications
  • Ability to swim

43 hrs/week, starting at $685/week
