Whether you call yourself a horse person or not, the Grand National Rodeo is fun for everyone. This western tradition has been around for over seventy years and attracts thousands of visitors from seven western states. For two weekends in October, the 16th – 17th and the 23rd – 24th, horse and livestock enthusiasts will flock to the Cow Palace in San Francisco for a chance to compete for the title of Grand National Champion.
Visitors will have the opportunity to witness the best of the best in all things western, as well as have the opportunity to shop at the marketplace and try the award winning barbeque. Events include barrel racing, drill teams, side saddle, ranch riding, an Arabian costume class, and a Saddlebred class. The rodeo will also feature special performances by mustang training expert Bobby Kerr and his mustangs. This is a fun filled event for the entire family!
