Campers in Leadership Training (CILTs) –
Swim Leadership
In addition to taking part in the Teen Swim
Program, CILTs also participate in swim leadership. They get to
assist the swim counselors in teaching the Kindergarten and Little
Raccoon groups. CILTs are paired up with the younger groups to help
campers learn water readiness and basic swim skills. Second year
CILTs camper may have the opportunity to assist swim staff with swim
lessons for different age groups after they have demonstrated
proficiency. This additional leadership training prepares CILTs for
becoming Junior Counselors and program counselors in the future.
