Week 3 Superchoice Activities
Campers Choose One 2 Hour Specialty Clinic Each Week

Moraga (English) Riding- Capture the Flag on Horseback
Join us in the big arena or on the cross country course for a fun game of capture the flag – on horseback!  Campers will paint & decorate horses in team colors to identify teammates.  Riders of all levels will practice steering, gait transitions and practice moving at faster gaits. 

Ranch (Western & Trail) Riding - Pony Express Trail Ride
Learn all about an American tradition – the Pony Express - while experiencing a fun and challenging trail ride on the ranch. Relay a message along the trail.  Beware of bandits, pitfalls, and wrong turns.  If you successfully deliver your message, you will be handsomely rewarded.

Fishing - Learn Fishing Techniques and Rig Your own Pole
Come to the docks to see a whole array of tackle. Choose a lure, learn how to rig it, and fish with it in order to catch a fish. Learn how to stock up and organize your own tackle box. Fisherman Kevin will show you how to use all different kinds of fishing equipment including hooks, line, and baits.  Everything you need to know for catching all kinds of fish in lakes!

Kayaking - Waterfront’s Eco-Challenge - Pick up Trash with “The Flash”
Team up with our Kayaking Counselor Andrew for an adventure around the Res with EBMUD Ranger Bobby Flasher.  Lend a helping hand as you use your kayaking skills to maneuver through the Reservoir looking for any non-natural nature we might find.  We will be teamed up and competing to see who can clean up the most around our beautiful Lafayette Reservoir with rewards at the end!  Come on down and see how much you can do!

Swim - Snorkel Exploration
Learn basics of snorkeling.  Use mask, fins and snorkels to explore the depths of the pools.  Participate in our Underwater Scavenger Hunt by scavenging for Non- Natural Nature - “trash” and “treasure” at the bottom of the deep and shallow pools!

Sports - Volleyball Variety
Get that volleyball serve down pat! By the end of this Superchoice you will be a serving star.  After the clinic, put your new serving skills to the test with a game of Volleyball Baseball.

Crafts - Be a “Knit-Wit”
Learn to knit with our Crafty Crafts Counselor.  She will show you the basic stitches, color changing techniques.  Make a scarf for the winter to come.  It’s hard to believe, but it will be cold again at some point and you will be so happy to have the cozy scarf you knit during the summer!

Outdoors & Adventure - Ultimate Survivor
You and your fellow campers are “marooned” amidst Cap’n Ruff’s deserted island.  Put your outdoor and adventure skills to the test as your tribe competes in challenges such as “Wilderness 911” and “Through the Widow’s Web” to push your tribe to win the Ultimate Survivor Idol!
