Camp Critters News: Spring 2004

by Max (the Camp Dog)

I'm so happy that spring is here and I get to spend time in the great outdoors! When I go out and play with my fun critter friends, I always remember the following items, which are important for you campers to make part of your daily routine once camp starts.

Max's Tips for Staying Cool:

  1. Wear sunscreen each day (or zinc oxide) and to rub it in really well. I wear zinc oxide on my nose—can you tell?
  2. Wear a hat at camp. I, of course, have a fur coat to protect me, but campers can make sure they protect their faces from the sun by wearing their hats.
  3. Drink lots of water. In fact, keep an eye out for new Roughing It Day Camp water bottles that you can take to camp each day to ensure that you stay hydrated (I also stay cool by swimming in the horses' troughs at the riding sites butann said I could not put that in my recommendations to you. It's kind of a dog thing to do.)

So follow these tips and have a cool summer— I can't wait to see you at Camp!
