and cowgirls!
Join us at Ranch Day Camp for full days of Western riding, horsemanship
and a working ranch experience. Campers have 2 riding periods daily; Western
Equitation riding lessons in the arena,
on our Trail Obstacle Course, and pasture rides. Daily Animal Care,
Horsemanship, Western Crafts, Roping, and a Gymkhana show each two week
session for family and friends.
Located at our private riding site in Moraga.
Transportation Included!
Centralized pick up in Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Walnut Creek, Pleasant
Hill, Danville, Piedmont, Oakland, Berkeley, Alamo, Alameda, San Ramon,
Martinez,
and
San Francisco!

Ranch Day Camp Activities:
- Lessons in Western riding- Daily! Campers of all levels
learn and practice Western riding skills such as equitation, balanced seat, neck
reining, jogging and loping in our spacious arenas.
- Trail Obstacle Course- Daily!
When ready, campers practice navigating common trail obstacles such as
stepping over logs, riding on hills, and opening/closing a gate, on the
Trail Obstacle Course. -
Horsemanship- Daily! Campers learn how to care for their horses with
activities such as grooming, tacking, first aid, hoof care, nutrition and
anatomy.
- Ranch chores- Daily! Campers learn the daily operations
of a working ranch. They help in the care and feeding of the horses and
other ranch animals, including cleaning pens, routine vet care, cleaning tack
and ranch chores.
- Animal care- Daily! Campers get a chance to help
raise our baby ranch animals; including chickens, rabbits, and yearlings (baby
horses)! Campers learn proper nutrition, care, and simple training of the
ranch animals as part of our working
ranch program.
- Traditional Western Activities- Daily! Campers
enjoy unique ranch activities such as roping, horse packing and creating western
crafts.
- Gymkhana events- Campers practice their skills in
fun events such as barrel racing, pole bending, keyhole & relays.

Campers love to share friendships (and snacks!) with our 50 horses. |
Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) lesson
curriculum for beginning through advanced riders. Campers can earn badges
for completing one of four CHA skill levels.
