Refer a Friend
Do you have a friend that would make an awesome addition to Roughing It? Current and former staff
who refer
a friend to Roughing It can receive a gift or cash bonus
when their friend is hired by Roughing It. Described below are two ways to refer a
friend.
Method one is a Formal Referral. To take advantage of a
formal referral, your friend must be hired before staff training
starts, and you must complete our
online referral form
before your friend signs their work agreement. After your friend
is hired, we will mail you a $50 "instant"
bonus. If your friend completes the full summer season
with excellent evaluations, you will earn an additional $100,
to be mailed out in October. Although directors Ann & Hobie have
final say on evaluations, the following are guidelines they will use
when determining if a staff member meets a high level of excellence:
- Completes all requirements as laid out in the work
agreement.
- Shows clear progress and performance advances throughout the
summer.
- Has no disciplinary actions taken to correct poor work performance.
- Is offered a position for the following summer.
Method two is an Informal Referral. A referral is
considered informal when it is generally known that you have
referred a friend, but you did not complete our online form before
your friend signed their work agreement. In this instance you will not receive the
instant ($50) or complete season bonus ($100).
Because we still love you, you'll receive a complimentary $10 Starbucks gift card at the end of
staff training. But since a $10 gift card probably won't put much of a
dent into paying for your college textbook fees, we
highly recommend you consider doing a Formal Referral and
completing our
Online Staff Referral
