Roughing It Day Camp : Discounts and Payment Plans

There are many ways to save on the cost of camp tuition. We invite our friends and families to take part in some of the special savings offered below.

Refer A Friend and Save!

Refer a first time camper to Roughing It this summer and you and your friend can earn tuition credits towards camp. After your friend enrolls you and your friend will earn: $150 for a 4 or 8 week session of Roughing It Day Camp, $50 for 2 week Horse Camps or Little Raccoons, $35 for Outdoor Explorers, $25 for Hello Horse Camp and Acteeva Camps.

There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer for credit, and families with multiple children that enroll are counted separately, allowing the saving to add up. You can use camp tuition credit towards tuition payments, additional programs or other camp expenses. If you have already paid your camp balance before you friend enrolls, credit can be used towards expense next summer or, optionally, a rebate can be issued at the end of the camp season.

To qualify, you must refer your friend using our Referral Form before your friend registers for camp.

Sibling Discounts

Save $50 for each additional sibling you enroll in a 4 or 8 week session of Roughing It Day Camp, 2 week session of Horse Camp, or Little Raccoons. Save $35 for each additional sibling you enroll in Outdoor Explorers. Save $10 for each additional sibling you enroll in Acteeva Day Camp.

Tax Credits and More Ways to Save

Non-residential camps currently qualify as a childcare tax credit (deducted from pre-tax income) for children up to the age of twelve. Contact your accountant for details or learn more about child care expenses on the IRS website.

It may also be worthwhile checking with your workplace, as many companies offer discounts for day care that can be used towards Roughing It tuition expenses.
